About Interbourse

About Interbourse

Interbourse is not just a skiing event – it is a race, a network and a lot of fun which has been ongoing for 50 years now!

Once a year, the financial community meets for a week of networking and skiing. The participants come from many areas of the financial landscape: there are about 450-500 bankers, private equity professionals, portfolio managers, traders, analysts, brokers, international exchange representatives and more. They originate from all over the world – roughly 60% are European, from financial centres in at least nine countries. There are also large groups from the US and from Canada and several participants from Australia and Singapore.

The first Interbourse was held in France in 1969. Participants from three European exchanges organized the event. Since then, the gathering has travelled throughout the world with a different Team organizing the event every year. More than just skiing.

The programme starts with a discovery day. Guides will show you around the ski areas in small groups.

The first night always starts with a welcome event, to introduce all participants and celebrate the start of a great week.

The two racing days form the weeks’ highlights. The Team Giant Slalom event tests the fastest skiers present. Anyone not qualified for the team official race, including snowboarders – who benefit from their own category – can try their best in the guest race (which benefits from age- and gender-related categories).

Parties, après-ski and DJ-fuelled ambiance at night will keep you going from one perfect ski day to the next. The gala night on Thursday night is another highlight of the week – on Friday everyone comes together at the bye bye Aprés-Ski for a final time in 2018.

Today the number of Interbourse participants have grown to as many as 600 from 21 financial centres in 12 different countries. Interbourse 2018 will mark the 50th occasion that the event has been staged.

Private Equity, Traders, International Exchanges, Wealth Management, Family Office, Analysts, MTFs, Clearing Houses, Data Vendors and more. Interbourse 2018 offers sponsors a tremendous opportunity to reach and network with a broad group of financial community professionals from around the globe all gathered together in a single location.
